Reliable electricity is essential to productivity. Across Nigeria, that reliability has traditionally depended heavily on diesel-powered generators.
MPI worked with PLANE/DAI Nigeria to develop a cleaner and more efficient alternative.
We installed a combined 195kW solar photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), integrated with solar carports across their offices in Abuja, Kaduna and Jigawa.
The intervention has helped PLANE/DAI reduce its reliance on diesel-powered generators by more than 50%, significantly lowering its carbon footprint and supporting its sustainability and ESG objectives.
The system has also enhanced operational productivity, reduced energy costs and improved overall energy performance.
The transition to cleaner energy is about creating systems that are more resilient, efficient and fit for the future.
