Road Infrastructure Upgrade Project

A critical road expansion and modernization project is underway to improve connectivity and transportation efficiency in a key coastal region. The existing 1.55 km single carriageway is being widened from 5 meters to 7.5 meters, with the addition of a pedestrian walkway to enhance safety for all road users. As part of the upgrade, the project includes the construction of a diversion route to maintain smooth traffic flow during and after construction. Associated infrastructure such as culverts, drainage systems, and kerbs are also being rebuilt to align with the new design, ensuring long-term durability and improved road safety standards.

The entire stretch will be fully illuminated to improve visibility and security, particularly at night, supporting both commuter convenience and safety. In addition to the infrastructure work, the project has created over 100 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to local economic empowerment and workforce development. This initiative is expected to:
